@hippopotamoose

Hah, I sent that msg before I finished. I have a lot going on today, I’m a bit scatterbrained. <:) email me @ nightmarewares@hotmail.com we’ll work out the details of your hippo. :D

hippopotamoose asked: That Hippos is SO cute! Are you selling them? :]

I totally am! Since I started these animals I’ve been overwhelmed with commissions from my coworkers, but I’m always knitting. :D

1PM

I made this monkey for yet another coworker. He has a banana, and a super cute face. :) Here he is in the front yard enjoying the sunshine. :D

12PM

A hippo and an elephant that I made for my coworker’s two boys. They’re having so much fun playing in the sun. :) I love how they turned out!

Spooky ghost decor! I have no words for how happy I am with this little guy. Perfect for Halloween, or adding a bit of haunting charm to everyday life. :)

I made this little zebra for a coworker’s son using a pattern from Knitted Wild Animals by Sarah Keen. He’s so super cute ad squishy, and he looks perpetually to the right because I kinda sorta sewed his head on cock-eyed. LOL That’s ok, though, he has a lot of character. :D My cell phone doesn’t take the best pics, so I apologize for this one.

I made these wrist warmers in just a few hours yesterday. The yarn is Wool Ease Thick & Quick in Charcoal, so they came together quite fast. They’re super warm, and I’m so ready to make a bunch more in fun colors. :D Yaay for making winter clothes in June! LOL I also need to get better pics of the PAIR, but it’s just me and the dogs in the house right now, and they don’t know how to work the camera, so it’ll have to wait until my husband comes home. ;D

Like everyone else in the world, I’ve made an owl or two. Squishy plush made of felt, with seed bead eyes. Hoo! :D

“A Pirate’s Life For Me”

Ahoy! This took a few days to make, start to finish. I love that little octopus, and I never want to think of those coins again. All in all, it’s one of my favourite pieces ever. Yarr!

I’ve been working on this little burger for a few months, on and off. Finally finished it last night! I think it’s super cute, the bottom bun is hollow, so you can store little sewing supplies in there. The patty, lettuce, cheese and tomato are layered with stuffing so you can stick your needles and safety pins in there. The top bun is super stuffed so you can stick your straight pins in there! :D It all holds together with two buttons.

I made these crochet flowers using this tutorial. They came out pretty good, I think, even though I felt like I was crocheting with my feet. My hands know knitting, crochet is a whole different animal. All in all, I’m happy with them. Here’s the hippo I knit last week modeling one of them on her ear. :)

Well, let’s see here.

This is a place for all of my crafty adventures, whether they’re good, bad, or mediocre. I’m notoriously bad at keeping up with things like this, but I’m going to put more effort into posting and picture taking; hopefully this won’t fall to the wayside. Here we go! :D
